Pulling
The dancers in Pulling use the costumes to interact with the metal architecture of the performance space. Strong magnets sewn into costumes force the dancers into wanted or unwated connection with the walls of the building and each other. Pick-up mics and transducers throughout the space echo the reverberations of the magnetic connection. The movement plays with resistance, force, and discomfort.
